Xaralyn Extra Long Lighter (23 cm), designed for safely lighting a bioethanol burner with a ceramic stone.
It is also suitable for lighting BBQs, fire starters, or gas fireplaces. It is also possible to use it for lighting candles, although it may require a bit more effort.
Xaralyn CL100 bioethanol for use as fuel in ethanol fireplaces.
Ethanol is the most well-known alcohol. The same alcohol we find in beer, wine, and spirits. Traditionally, taxes have been imposed on ethanol in beverages. These excise duties do not apply to technical uses. However, the ethanol must be made unsuitable for consumption. This process is called denaturation. CL100 is therefore denatured alcohol (ethanol).
This bioethanol is a very clean-burning fuel that produces a beautiful, yellow flame. When used in combination with a bioethanol burner with a ceramic stone, it offers the safest combustion.
Denatured alcohol (ethanol) is alcohol that has been made unfit for consumption.
The natural balance in pure bioethanol is 98% alcohol and 2% water. After it is rendered unfit for consumption (denatured), this percentage is a maximum of 97%. This is the purest form of bioethanol.
The alcohol content in CL100 fluctuates between 96% and 97%.
This bioethanol of Dutch origin, unlike ethanol, gives a yellow flame. Bioethanol of pure origin has a longer burn time and produces a higher flame.
Bioethanol also has other applications, such as a solvent or in cleaning.
